Frequently asked questions.
The most common questions about sliding and flush doors, fireplaces and the installation process — concise and jargon-free.
Yes. The pocket-door cassette is most often built into a drywall (plasterboard) wall or partition, which is possible during a renovation too. With traditional plastered walls we prepare the opening. We assess the specific situation on-site before proposing a solution.
Fitting a single door set usually takes half a day to a day. For larger projects (multiple openings, flush doors for painting, cladding) we schedule the work alongside the other trades — e.g. the Dedinje residence with 14 openings was completed in about 7 weeks, including preparation.
Syntesis doors have no visible frame or threshold and install flush with the wall. They can be painted the same colour as the wall and practically disappear, or executed in glass as a deliberate statement. They come both as hinged (Battente) and sliding (Scorrevole).
Standard sliding doors transmit a little more sound than conventional ones because the leaf slides into the cassette. For rooms where acoustics matter (bedrooms, studies), ECLISSE offers an optional acoustic kit that significantly reduces sound transfer.
A conventional leaf “eats” about 1 m² of usable floor per opening through its swing arc. In a ~100 m² home with several openings, switching to in-wall sliding doors can reclaim up to eight square metres of usable space and free walls for furniture.
Bioethanol fireplaces (PLANIKA) need no chimney because combustion is clean, with no smoke or ash. Modern models have automated, sensor-controlled ignition and shut-off systems. Gas fireplaces (ITALKERO) require a connection and flue depending on the model — we advise you on the choice.
We run the whole process — consultation and selection, measuring and preparation, installation and later support and maintenance. Our aim is for furnishing your home to be a pleasure, not a worry about coordinating several contractors.
Absolutely — and we recommend it. Sliding mechanisms, flush details and the flame of a fireplace are best understood in the space. Visit our showroom at Budimska 10A in Belgrade; call ahead and we’ll reserve a slot for you.
