A lounge in a commercial space.
A reception meant to feel like a salon, not a waiting room. A modular seating system, a walnut-and-brass low table and built-in joinery were made to measure — each piece sits exactly where the architecture asks for it.

Seating that feels like a salon but works as a reception.
The lounge had to welcome visitors and set a calm tone on entering the office, while withstanding daily use. Off-the-shelf sofas were either too soft for commercial use or too rigid for a salon — and none followed the gentle curve of the wall by the reception.
The brief also called for a single low table to gather the seating, along with built-in joinery that hides the services and leaves the wall clean.
Made for the space, not picked from a catalogue.
The seating was conceived as a modular system: five upholstered segments in bouclé that follow the curve of the wall and can split apart for a different layout. The seats are firmer than a domestic sofa, on concealed brass feet that lift the mass off the floor.
At its centre sits a low table with an oiled-walnut top and a brushed-brass base. Alongside it, built-in joinery in the same walnut ties the reception and lounge into one line and conceals the cabling and storage.
We wanted the visitor to sit down first and only then notice how much of it was made for this exact space.
