A flame at the centre of the room.
A living room that lacked a centre. A PLANIKA bioethanol fireplace set into a plastered niche — a real flame with no flue and no gas line, reading as if it stood freely within the wall.

Fire where a flue isn't possible.
The client wanted a living flame in the living room, yet the house had neither a chimney nor a gas line run to that wall. A classic or gas fireplace would have meant demolition and services a finished interior could not absorb.
The flame had to become the centre of the room, not a technical element — with no visible grilles, ducting or frames to break the plane of the wall.
A linear insert in a plastered niche.
The answer is a PLANIKA bioethanol fireplace: flueless, with no solid fuel and a clean linear flame. The insert is built into a shallow niche and finished in the same plaster as the surrounding wall, so the burner reads as if it floated freely in the plane.
With no flue gases to vent, the installation stayed dry and short — no chimney to build, no gas line to route. An output of around 3 kW is enough for the gentle, ambient warmth of an open living room.
